Vice City Stories was much better than Liberty City Stories, but still nowhere near as good as the original PS2 games. Really, the only good part was that it was GTA made portable (impressive then) and, perhaps more importantly, the PSP had finally gotten a half-decent game other than Lumines.
Vice City Stories is available on PSP and PlayStation 2 and 3, whereas Liberty City Stories can be played on PSP, PS2, PS3, and iOS and Android devices. Sadly, they are not available on PC .

jm-9 • 2 yr. ago. The PS2 version of LCS is fine. Unfortunately the PS2 Classic downloaded off the PS Store is has horrible lag. I'd recommend you download the PSP version on PSP or PS Vita, play the PS2 disc on a PS2 or a PS3 that can play PS2 discs (these PS3s have four USB ports in front instead of two) or get it on mobile.
There's no fix because that's just how bad the PS2 port of this game was. The framerate is horrible no matter what with the PS2 version. A neat feature of the emulated PS2 version of LCS is how sometimes, for no reason whatsoever, the game will soft crash where you can still hear the game audio and "pause" the game, but the screen goes black
